“Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.” – Margaret Fuller
Book Donations
Books are more than just a source of entertainment; they are essential tools for children’s development. They help build language skills, ignite imagination, foster empathy, and create a foundation for lifelong learning.
The Kiwanis Club of the Greenbrier Valley is dedicated to ensuring that children in our community have access to the books they need to thrive. We are currently collecting new and gently used children’s books to distribute in Free Little Libraries across the Greenbrier Valley. These books are organized and labeled by volunteers, with each book aimed at encouraging learning and growth for young readers.
In addition to placing books in Free Little Libraries, our club members also volunteer at local food pantry distribution centers, where we hand out books to children in need. By doing so, we aim to promote literacy and spark a love of reading in every child.
How you can help:
Donate Books: Bring your new or gently used children’s books to Tootsie’s on Main Street in White Sulphur Springs, WV.
Volunteer: Join us in filling the Little Libraries or assisting with book distributions at food pantries.
Together, we can build a brighter future for children through the power of books!
